Le Filou – Irresistibly French

Passion and enjoyment to suit every taste

Be it the red with its velvety body, the fruity white or the fresh rosé – Le Filou stands for straightforward and delightful pleasure. A true French wine, which combines passion and seduction in its fine variations of flavour. Depending on its colour, a Le Filou represents the perfect complement to all menus.

Le Filou Rouge is grown in the southern French départements of Aude, Herault and Gard. The Mediterranean climate that reigns there combines with the clayey and calcareous soil to create the ideal growing conditions for this traditional red wine. Extremely versatile, it goes with elegant meat and game dishes as well as with hearty snacks of baguette and cheese. The Le Filou Rouge can also be enjoyed in the traditional way with a classic speciality: Tarte Flambee. Originally from Alsace, the "Flammeküche", as it is known there, is gaining more and more fans. It tastes terrific and is quick and easy to prepare.

Le Filou Blanc originates from the Comte Tolosan region. A noble wine-growing region in southwest France that is famous for its top-quality Vin de Pays. A very favourable climate, as well as clayey and calcareous soil, provides the ideal growing conditions for these excellent wines. The Le Filou Blanc is ideal with light dishes, fish and poultry; and also turns any salad into an exquisite experience. For those wishing to create a hint of the Côte d´Azur at home, we recommend a Niçoise salad.

Like its brother Le Filou Rouge, it hails from the Herault and Gard growing regions of southwest France. The "Grenache" grape variety is the sole grape used for this Vin de Pays. It forms the basis of first-rate wines, and is greatly treasured as a fruity and bold variety with a light, sweet tannin structure. The clayey and calcareous soil of the growing regions on the west Mediterranean coast form the basis for this.
